Meet at the Statue of Liberty at 9 am SHARP, we begin walking by 0915 or as soon as practical thereafter.

STOP THE VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

In alignment with the International Day of Women, we call for a global end to the violence against women . . . beginning with our homes, our community, our planet.

Domestic Violence is a fact of everyday life for too many children. As mothers first, we must do everything within our power to protect our children. As mothers, we work together to protect our community´s children.

As women and mothers we respect ourselves and allow others to rise to our level of respect. Realizing first that the responsibility for our own protection lies exclusively within. We must make positive choices to end violence on all levels of our lives. We must live the example of a violence free life.

The violence that is arbitrary and "comes with the territory" is a matter of great concern in certain communities and nations.

We must as survivors for the care and well being of our children, must stand for an end to that violence and harm that threaten us from unknown sources. We must demand that the nation states members of the UN declare that no weapons of any level of destruction may be used in our home, in our communities, in our nation that, as a matter of law, my life nor that of my child(ren) is not one of "collateral damage." To the extent that we are allowed to be counted as that by a nation state member of the UN, such act of violence and aggression is too great to be lawful in a global community of equals, which by the US Declaration of Independence and original Constitution is the founding principle of human equality.

Code Pink on Mother's Day

Join Code Pink and their activism call to the mothers of our nation and our world ... to change the way we live our lives. To change the way we raise our children . . . so that at no point is it ok for our sons and daughters to hit one another in the sandbox of this great planet of ours!

I wonder at what age, at what point to we go ahead and justify violence against one another without taking the steps as parents to intervene and help resolve conflicts amongst our children? My daughter's only 9, but I wonder if there will ever be a day when I say if asked for help: "No honey, I won't help you resolve your problem with another person. You have to do it for your self." The role of "Mom" has changed dramatically with the degradation of the family units here in the United States and the failure of our society to support traditional and alternative family structures.

Its time that we take a look at that role of "Mom" in our own homes, our community and our world, and come together once again. Let go of the pieces of the woman that inhibits the active role of mother in your life, and make being "Mom" a priority second to none once again.

This weekend we caught four hours of PBS' American Experience. In those hours, the series reflected and remembered the 50's and 60's and the evolution of the Civil Rights movement.

So often in our lives, we take a piece of knowledge we receive and we put it in a box and say, "there it is, that's that." We do ourselves a great service at going back and revisiting history with new eyes to look at what we've put in that box as being "the truth." I asked a mentor of mine once, "what do you do when 'the truth' is a lie for you?" He replied, "I would give you the advice of C.S. Lewis, 'put it in a box with a note that says, "open when ready,"' and look at that 'truth' with the eyes you have in the moment and see whether it is still a 'lie' or whether it has become the 'truth' for you too."

And so, too, I have learned we must do this with the "truth," because the context of our lives that breaths and grows with time and experience will shed new light on that which we believe to be true and that which we believe is untrue.

So much of the nuances of the daily in's and out's of what they accomplished, how they did it and what they were trying to do, and my life experience since becoming a mother sheds such a different light on many of the things Dr. King (and others) said, wrote and did in their struggle to bring equality to our society.

THEN, I watched the news last evening . . . you know I do not watch much mainstream news, but with the new President's press conference, I wanted to see what was being "pumped" into the homes of America (and perhaps the world). The misinformation and misguiding of the media was astonishing to me. And, I'm not just talking about the pundits but those who supported the President as well. They were creating detractors for the wrong reasons and creating supporters for the wrong reasons and everyone was missing the truth in their discussion and commentary.

SO (look to the left sidebar), this morning I created "drMLK" on Twitter. I will be finding a quote and posting it on as regular a basis as I do everything in my life, and posting it into the consciousness of the internet. The first quote came from Dr. King's recollection on the struggle in Birmingham when they decided to mobilize the children of the city to bring the bright spotlight of the inhumanity and brutality of segregation and racism to light for the world to see. The quote is from "Why We Can't Wait."

If you think that President Obama is our savior here in America . . . if you think you don't need to be as vigilant as you were under President Bush for the establishment of peace here in America and around the world, go on back to sleep. BUT, if you know that we are the leaders and our President follows the People, then I encourage you to go about your business of creating equality and justice through the challenge of ignorance and prejudice in your world . . . and keep your ever vigilant eye on your local, state, national and global governments and leaders.

UPCOMING GLOBAL EVENTS: Summit of the Americas, April 2K9.
The new global structure foundation for the American continents is being finalized and implemented. They have been creating this structure since President Bush I, and have completed over 20 years of development and formation, which have been equally supported by both of the major parties in the United States. Look at the agenda, research the history and you can see what is happening right before your eyes as we shift our reality to the "new world order." The "new world order" is not evil, it just is a new structure that can be used by those with the power and control over the structure. The truth always is: the people have the power to the extent they choose to use it.

A walk for women and everyone who loves and supports them.

"Stop The Violence"

Is the focus of the 2009 International Women's Day. We join in their intention to end the violence against women around the world. Fueled not by anger or hurt, but by love for the self and common love we have for one another to heal and end that which is not borne from love.

Building a new foundation of peace, dignity and respect for women will institutionally and instinctively bring an end to violence against women in our homes, our streets, our community and our world.

Empowerment of women in their own
peace, dignity and respect is the first step.

As we do the "Strip Peace" walk, we remember that we as women have power that we can choose to use or not. Remembering our specialness as women and our responsibility to use that specialness to create balance and peace in our homes, community and world requires one to stand in that uniqueness alone and with those who offer support.

The roles of "Mom," "Grandmother," "Sister," "Aunt," "Matriarch," "Daughter," "Goddess," "Wife," "Woman" and "Lady" are roles of power and support for the entire social structure in our society. This day we celebrate those roles, our position and recommit to the roles of dignity and respect we have been called to play.

I picked 25 July 2008 as the date for the 2009 Gaia Peace Festival.

The "Day Out of Time" is the 365th day of the year, based on a 13-moon, 28-day month based calendar that allows one day a year to be a day of adjustment that belongs to no structure: its not a day of the week, it has no month, it is a "free day."

Those that have come before me, have worked at creating a discussion and movement to change our present calendar system -- that which was established by Pope Gregory the XIII known as the "Gregorian Calendar." I understand the intention of World Thirteen Moon Calendar Change Peace Movement is to bring our planet to a peaceful harmonic timing frequency through calendar reform. Their establishment of this calendar is based largely on the remarkably complex and accurate Mayan calendar. The day they established for this Day of Time is most closely relating to 25 July on the common or Gregorian calendar.

I recognize and want to support their efforts to bring peace through cultural reform, a non-violent attempt to create a time structure for the planet that is based on peace and sustainability.

I personally have celebrated the "Day Out of Time" since 2005. For me, the Day Out of Time represents a day of celebratory adjustment to the things we consciously know have passed away as well as those we do not. By taking a moment, a day if you will

to be timeless

no attachments to the past

no attachments to the future.

A moment to incorporate all of the cosmic wobbles and nuances produced as energies interact within our most intimate inner world, through those that played out in our relationships with others and our external world, to the ripple our energies make throughout the cosmos.

A day of self-realizing --
knowing that we know
we are all connected,
celebrating the interplay of our being with all that is.

Allowing time and space for our awareness to grow and expand until the moment when the static structure of time for this 3rd dimensional earth experience is once again established for our collective experience for a new year of interaction, growth, movement and change.

Taking the time each year allows a more acute adjustment than the four year cycle offered by the Gregorian system. Eventually moving toward self and global realization that time is our construct to create in each moment, and that, individually AND as a collective, our planet can eventual move with complete present moment self-awareness and order.

That is why I chose 25 July 2009 as the day to amplify happiness on the earth grid and invite you to join me in expressing and sharing your happiness in conscious connection on this day.

Astrologically, a heliocentric view of our earth presents us the global opportunity to realize deeper, the value of joy, happiness and expansion of not just our physical interactions (Jupiter), but our spiritual and cosmic ones (Neptune) and our self-healing ones (Chiron) as well. And, offering us a moment to adjust those new and deeper connections with the limitations and structure presently in place (Saturn) as well as with its executor or administrator (Mercury).

8 March 2K8 Las Vegas STRIP PEACE WALK

8 March is the International Day of Women. The first peace protest I participated in organizing was in 2004, and the Women's Strike's "Women Say No To War" in Westwood, California. Siobahn was 4 years old, it wasn't her first protest, but it was the first one she got to ride on the "float." We had so much fun.

This 8 March 2K8 we are participating in the Las Vegas Peace Project's second Strip Peace Walk. Women once again asking, begging, pleading, "Stop the Violence, PLEASE!"

Violence exists on so many levels in our society. In our homes. Gratuitous crimes of "you diss'd me, so I have to shoot you," permeate our schools and neighborhoods. And, if you live in the wrong place at the wrong time, you are under constant threat of violence from police if not your neighbor or the person in the next town over. If your a woman, your chances of being a victim of violence goes through the roof, and most of that violence is never revealed in the light of day, let alone a court of law. We drop bombs on innocent people, we detonate bombs strapped to our bodies as we find little hope for our future that does not include the constant, continual threat of violence.

We live so much in the fear of violence, we become the thing we fear the most. As individuals or as a collective, we are all responsible for the violence in our world today. Taking responsibility of our role in the cycle of violence will begin the break the cycle and change the violent flow of energy between one another.

March 8th, in the year of 2008, Las Vegas will walk peace on this earth, seeking to end the cycle of violence of one being against another. Working to find the place where we do not even see violence as a last resort to resolve our problems.

this one on 8 March 2K8, the International Day of Women . . .

all the way from the Statue of Liberty @ New York New York casino to the federal building at 333 S. Las Vegas Blvd., women and men, boys and girls will walk down the strip to say, "Stop the Violence, PLEEEEAAASSSEEE !!!" at least, that will be my request.

squeaky wheels get grease, and us women need to address the issues of violence in our lives, whether in our immediate house or in the violence of war and oppression throughout the world . . . violence must stop.

well, finally, my HRP No. 5 has been nipping at my heels, telling me i need to do something here in las vegas, and sure, i've been working on this stuff, but FINALLY and formally, i am working with two groups here in las vegas -- Kat (Katalyst) and the Las Vegas Peace Meet-Up, and Cion and The Box Office and i have agreed to produce "The Las Vegas Peace Project" we are not sure yet what all that will entail, but we have decided on quarterly peace events in what ever form they are going to take.

Our first project: 13 October 2007 • The Las Vegas Peace Festival
Time: 4-11 p.m.
Ages: All ages, family event
Place: The Box Office in the Las Vegas Arts District -- indoor and outdoor event.

July 4th, 2006, bring the troops home FAST

in solidarity with CODE PINK's bring the troops home FAST, me and my husband, Chris Clermont, are fasting on July 4th until we decide to stop.

fasting is an ancient tool used by those on spiritual paths, paths of political dissent and peace warriors for human rights. we are undertaking the fast, will hold an early morning peace vigil outside the federal building in Las Vegas, Nevada, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. the building is located at 333 S. Las Vegas Blvd.

it is our intention and prayer that through the activism and voice we bring in unison with people around the world, that we will lay down our weapons and bring all of our troops home, and begin the process of dismantling the war structure we have built up in the united states of America.

it is our American principle that peace is a foundation for liberty and freedom, and until we honor and respect that 'all men have the right to life', no one can exercise that right over another person and have liberty or freedom.

"BOMBS HURT ME"

Join us for our annual Happy Earth Day Party beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Lacy Park in San Marino, California.

This year's party will feature an exhibition by the kids of their many tricks, styles and show boating -- on bike, scooter, skateboard, rollerblades.

Our education focus will be the environmental impact of the bombs and other tools of warfare we are currently using in the Middle East -- how it affects the average citizen both in Iraq and here in the United States. The development of nuclear programs and their impact on the earth and what we can do to help balance the current system. As well, we hope to receive a tour of the park and have a discussion of the balancing of the park's ecosystem. The park has over 50 different trees as well as a well established and award winning rose garden.

Join us on our Happy Earth Day Parade as we celebrate the life of Earth and call attention to the unnecessary bombing and destruction of the Earth and her people.

The president rejected calls for the resignation of Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, chief architect of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. "Listen, every war plan looks good on paper until you meet the enemy," Bush said, acknowledging mistakes as the United States was forced to switch tactics and change a reconstruction strategy that offered targets for insurgents."

This war, like Vietnam, which "Rummy" was also a part of "master minding", will continue until you and me all do something different than what we are doing. For this war to end, the truth that "There is no one else on this planet that needs to change except me" will do more than protesting everyday that "they are wrong."

If you are angry about the war, if you are tired of the lies, if you are sick of all of the human lives we are destroying, not to mention what we are doing to the Earth, get connected deeply with those around you ... those you love, those you know and do not know ... do not let a moment go by when you are living the change of being a peaceful being, an informed citizen, an active participant in what we call democracy. Use your vote, use your voice, use your being to stop the war sooner rather than later.

8 March 2K6 - International Women's Day -- WOMEN SAY NO TO WAR!
This is an event HRP No. 5 hosted in South Pasadena, California. A day in Garfield Park featured much family fun, our peace parade, and a performance of Dr. Suess' "The Zax." Dr. Hilary Bradbury-Huang, member of the Pasadena City College board was our guest as we honor 2006 "Women as Decisionmakers" and her recent election victory.

My personal reason for organizing this event, I entitled, LISTEN: THE KEY TO PEACE, was to protest Secretary of State Rice's leadership and the United States' refusal to engage equally and with respect the new democratically elected government of the Palestinian people. I do not have to agree with them, but I must respect them as equals, and, at a minimum, as equal as their formerly elected government. "... all men are created equal ..." is a governing principle of this American.
